Vintage Professionally Refurbished Wooden Oboe by F.Roche made in Paris #95. Condition is "Used".Up for auction is this Oboe I found at auction and had it refurbished. By the stamp on the backside of the bell this was used at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. It is in its original case which is worn but serviceable. (See Pictures) The serial number is stamped 95. Please note this oboe does not have a mouthpiece, though I have been told that oboe players like to choose their own mouthpiece.See the list as to what was done to this instrument. The technician/restorer said it plays pretty good. The upper register is a little iffy, but would be really nice for a beginner up through high school or better. This fine vintage wooden oboe was good enough for the Eastman School. I’m a brass player so I don’t really know much about woodwinds and that’s why I took it to a professional. “SOLD AS IS” I'm not an expert in all things so if you have any questions please ask before you bid.
