These were sent to media outlets for promotional purposes, to be used by writers doing reviews or features about the films, and were not sold at retail stores. The discs include still images from the movie on a CD-ROM, which is not a DVD. Press kits do NOT include the movie itself. Thumbnails shown on the text insert or booklet (when one is included) show the images found on the CD-ROM.

This is the Press Kit for the 2004 action movie "Hellboy" starring Ron Perlman, Doug Jones and Selma Blair and directed by Guillermo Del Toro, based on Mike Mignola's  Dark Horse Comics story about a demon raised, after being conjured by and rescued from the Nazis, to become a defender against the forces of darkness. This is a really deluxe press kit where the 64-pages of production notes can be found within a dossier-like folder with B.P.R.D. (Bureau for Paranormal and Research Defense) symbol stamped on the cover,
the "Hellboy" logo in silver lettering emblazoned on the spine of the folder, plus B.P.R.D.
and a fastener that holds the folder closed. Included with the extensive and detailed production notes on slick paper is a CD-ROM containing images from the film. Given the age of this press kit, the disc may not play on modern computers with modern software so be aware of that when bidding.
As for flaws, there are some light impressions on spine of the production notes. There is also a small crescent-shaped mark against the black of the cover of the notes caused rubbing from the CD-ROM on the opposite page. (The way this was designed, there likely was no way to avoid this.) However, it is truly a rare, remarkable, elaborate and well-cared-for press kit for Hellboy fans.
