These were sent to media outlets for promotional purposes, to be used by writers doing reviews or features about the films, and were not sold at retail stores.  Press kits do NOT include the movie itself.

This is the Press Kit for the 2001 original Harry Potter movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" based on the J.K. Rowling book, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.  It includes a 12"x 9" glossy folder.  Inside the folder are the production notes (42 pages as well as a 2-page credits list), a glossy black-and-white still with two images from the movie. There is also the outer envelope that the press kit originally arrived. It is in remarkable shape with no tears or marks and just some slight impressions along some of the edges. It has been cut open at the top so there is no flap. It's very rare to find a press kit with the original envelope so that makes this auction pretty unique.
This is an extremely nice press kit that has been carefully preserved over the past two decades.
