Casa Lilu is quaint old house, right on the tip of the peninsula, Santa Eduviges, Fray Casiano, restored to former glory, but still with some original style in place like the ceiling and floors. The place is located right on the Estero and River from Puntarenas. We have a great view from our deck over the water to the "Angostura" from Puntarenas. There is NO other place like this in Costa Rica. We are also conveniently located only 5 miles to the Ferry, supermarkets, bakery, pulperia are located close. We are in a "Real Tico Neighborhood" this is NOT a setup for the tourists, not a million dollar villa on top of a hill where you don't see or hear a soul as long as you are there, our place is right where live goes on, this is how people really live in Costa Rica.  The neighbors are mostly fisherman and retired people. The people are all friendly, humble and working class, this is how ticos are!

There is always some movement on the water, boats come and go all day, sometimes at night we have a couple of shrimp fishers 3 meters of the deck. They will sell you Jumbo Shrimps, if you ask, for cheap. It's great, sitting on the deck or the dock never gets boring, there is always something to see. There are also hundreds of birds around all day, different species, coming and going, water landing, fishing, fighting, floating around, fishing vessels, small boats, big boat, you can even see the cruise ships coming and going to Puntarenas at night - Spectacular
